Baiyun night market wins over youth
Recently, the Taiyouqu Night Market in Guangzhou's Baiyun district has become a new landmark for nightlife, attracting young people from surrounding areas and even across the city to visit since it began its trial operation.
The market is open daily from 5 pm to 2 am and has attracted over 90 specialty food vendors from all over the country. The site not only features a wide array of food but also a live-streaming performance stage where online influencers interact with the live audience and online fans every day.
The night market operations team has established a strict mechanism for vendors and has invited market supervision departments and the local sub-district office to jointly participate in the supervision.
The overall plan for the night market goes far beyond its current state. "We have planned for over 200 stalls. In addition to the existing food and live-streaming areas, a cultural and creative street is actively recruiting tenants. Our goal is very clear: to build the market into a new cultural and tourism landmark of Baiyun district and Guangzhou," said Wang Zhengliang, founder of the Baiyun impression live-streaming industrial park.
