The Hong Kong Jockey Club 2025 Guangzhou Triathlon started at the west lake of Baiyun Lake in Guangzhou on Oct 19. Approximately 800 triathlon enthusiasts from both home and abroad gathered for the event.

This large-scale, prestigious event was divided into three main categories: a full distance age group, a sprint distance age group, and a youth experience group—further divided into 20 sub-groups, with participating athletes ranging in age from 12 to 80. 

The race began at 7:00 am that day, with the three disciplines of swimming, cycling, and running held. After more than two hours of intense competition, Li Chen, bib number 482 from Xi'an, Shaanxi, was the first to cross the finish line, becoming the champion of the full distance age group.

Li said, "The course in Guangzhou is outstanding! The water was calm, the temperature was comfortable, the cycling route was smooth, and the running path was shaded by lush trees. Combined with enthusiastic cheers from spectators, I feel it's a perfect venue for triathletes. I highly encourage all triathletes from across the country and world to come and experience it!"
