Baiyun flexes manufacturing strength at 138th Canton Fair
The 138th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) is held in Guangzhou from Oct 15 to Nov 4, divided into three phases.
Baiyun district has organized 175 enterprises to participate, securing 534 exhibition booths – a 5.5 percent increase compared to the previous session. The number of enterprises participating in booths accounts for about 20 percent of Guangzhou's total.

Private enterprises constitute over 90 percent of the exhibitors, exhibiting products across various sectors such as electronic consumer goods, home products, and more. Several companies highlighted innovative offerings: Hanle Electric presented new display products, including solar-powered TVs, forecasting a 10 percent increase in transaction value following nearly $200 million in orders from the last fair. Shifei Cosmetics launched over 30 new products, deploying a specialized team to promote the "Baiyun Beauty" brand.
This robust participation is underpinned by Baiyun's strong foreign trade performance, with a total import-export value of 52.87 billion yuan ($7.42 billion) in the first half of the year, surging 42.9 percent year-on-year – the highest growth rate among all districts in Guangzhou.
Additionally, Baiyun innovatively established a pre-fair exhibition zone at the airport terminal, leveraging passenger traffic to attract international buyers and build an efficient channel for Baiyun manufacturing to expand worldwide. Enterprises in the district are exploring global markets with high-quality products and determined efforts.
