In Junhe sub-district, the fire dragons, accompanied by the pounding of gongs and drums, moved like actual dragons emerging from the sea – occasionally circling low and sometimes ascending abruptly. The focal point was at Qinghu Archway, where four fire dragons connected head to tail, creating a radiant circle of light that illuminated the night and marked the peak of the festivities. Meanwhile, Shima and Pingsha villages hosted their own lively dragon parades.

This longtime Mid-Autumn tradition, passed down for over a century, symbolizes hopes for favorable weather and community spirit. It celebrates the vitality of traditional culture and brings communities together for a night of joy and celebration.
