Grandview Maofeng Bay International Cultural Tourism Resort has started construction at the southeastern foot of Maofeng Mountain in Baiyun district on Sept 27, Guangzhou, with a total investment of approximately 4 billion yuan ($561.6 million) and covering an area of over 562 mu (37.46 hectares).

As a key provincial and municipal construction project, the resort aims to position itself as a world-class cultural landmark.

Leveraging the ecological resources and cultural heritage of Maofeng Mountain, the project aims to develop six distinctive thematic sections. Among these is the China Palace, with a construction area of 50,000 square meters. It will serve as the core attraction, tracing a historical thread of The Twenty-Four Histories and implementing cutting-edge technologies, such as holographic projections, to present Chinese civilization in an immersive way.

The resort will also include nine themed pavilions, two themed hotels, 20 museums, and 81 outdoor recreational facilities, integrating culture, technology, and ecological experiences to form a diverse operational formation.

The project, expected to be completed within two years, will later apply for designation as a National 5A-level Tourist Attraction. It is expected to attract over 10 million visitors and generate nearly 10 billion yuan annually in regional comprehensive income, creating 20,000 jobs in Baiyun district.

The project marks the Grandview Group's strategic transition from urban commerce to comprehensive cultural tourism. It is set to inject new momentum into the development of cultural tourism in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
