Baiyun launches Guangdong expert center
The Guangdong Academician and Expert Sci-Tech Achievement Transformation Service Center was inaugurated on Sept 26 at Guangzhou Design City.
The Federation of Guangdong Academicians established the center, which aims to serve as a collaborative bridge between academic experts and enterprises dedicated to bridging the "last mile" from laboratory research to production lines. Its primary mission is to connect academic experts with entrepreneurs while enabling enterprises to access technologies, achievements, and talents.

The center will systematically promote the integration of industrial chains, innovation chains, talent pools, and capital through three key initiatives: forming specialized committees, establishing joint academic committees, and setting up technology transfer centers. These efforts will ground innovation firmly within industries and enterprises.
The federation will use this platform to channel cutting-edge innovation into production, fueling scientific and technological progress in both upgrading traditional industries and fostering new sectors.
Baiyun district has developed its sci-tech innovation system in recent years, with the number of high-tech enterprises surpassing 1,200. The establishment of the center will support Baiyun district and the Greater Bay Area in attracting markets, technologies, capital, and talent. By focusing on emerging sectors such as robotics and the low-altitude economy, it aims to establish a new hub for industrial innovation in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
