National champions crowned in paralympic floor curling in Baiyun
The finals of the floor curling event at the 12th National Paralympic Games and 9th National Special Olympics concluded on Sept 22 at the Guangzhou Sports Centre for Persons with Disabilities.

After five days of intense competition, champions were crowned in three categories. The Chongqing team took the title in the Intellectual Open Group, the Sichuan team won the Hearing Impaired Group, and the Inner Mongolia team claimed victory in the Wheelchair Open Group. The Wheelchair Open final was particularly exciting, with Inner Mongolia beating Henan in overtime after a 3-3 tie in regular play.
The event featured 283 athletes from 26 teams competing in a mixed format that included group, knockout, and playoff stages. Gao Quanfu from the Inner Mongolia team expressed his excitement about winning the championship in his first national-level competition.
The organizing committee ensured a smooth and accessible experience for all athletes, earning widespread praise. At the event, the theme song celebrating the inclusion of people with and without disabilities was performed as a tribute to the athletes' perseverance.
