Baiyun makes major hydrogen energy industry breakthrough
On Sept 12, Yuntao Hydrogen Energy celebrated the rollout of its 2,000th hydrogen fuel cell system, achieving a doubling of production within just 100 days since the 1,000th unit was completed.
This milestone signifies the company's integration of "technology-production-market" capabilities and demonstrates its strong capacity for large-scale delivery.
To date, these fuel cell systems have been deployed across more than 10 types of vehicles, including dump trucks, buses, and refrigerated trucks. They support key Guangzhou projects such as the Guangzhou Design Valley and Sanyuanli village renovation. Overall, these systems have safely covered over 4.78 million kilometers and cut carbon emissions by more than 3,735 metric tons.

The company utilizes fully digital production lines, capable of producing 4,000 units annually with a product qualification rate over 99.9 percent. Its newest "iCloud Engine 130B" system has made three significant advances: increased mass power density, a rated efficiency surpassing 48 percent, and a lifespan extended to 30,000 hours.
By developing flexible graphite bipolar plates in-house, material costs have dropped by 40 percent. Yuntao, holding over 100 patents, remains at the forefront of innovation. Recent strategic alliances with Xiamen King Long and Qingling Motors are broadening hydrogen technology's reach from infrastructure to urban transit and cold chain logistics, fueling Guangzhou's green and low-carbon growth.
