Leading chip design company establishes subsidiary in Baiyun
VeriSilicon Microelectronics (Guangzhou) Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of VeriSilicon Microelectronics, has recently registered in Baiyun district, Guangzhou, with a registered capital of 23.4 million yuan ($3.28 million).
As the first key chip design company introduced to Baiyun district, its establishment marks a significant milestone in the growth of the regional semiconductor industry.
VeriSilicon, a leader in China's semiconductor IP industry, demonstrates deep technological expertise and robust R&D capabilities. Its solutions are extensively utilized in artificial intelligence, automotive electronics, the Internet of Things (IoT), and other advanced sectors.
The company's South China R&D center, situated in Baiyun Lake Digital Tech City, will utilize the area's strategic benefits and available facilities to concentrate on product and chip design research and development for the automotive and AI industries. This effort intends to enhance the integrated circuit industry in Baiyun district and Guangzhou.
The project is expected to not only enhance the capacity utilization of local wafer foundries but also attract more upstream and downstream enterprises through the leading company's influence, fostering an industrial ecosystem. Additionally, it will help develop professional talent in integrated circuits for Guangzhou, further driving the high-quality growth of the regional digital economy and high-tech industries.
