Baiyun airport's T3 terminal nears completion
The main construction of Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport's T3 Terminal has been completed, with the countdown to its operational launch now underway. As the core project of the airport's third phase expansion, the roof of the T3 terminal is designed with eight petals, incorporating elements of Lingnan cultural characteristics.

The terminal features a centralized main building combined with a pier-type configuration, covering a total construction area of 683,300 square meters. Its optimized layout shortens the walking distance for passengers and enhances operational efficiency.
This project is a key component in the development of a world-class airport cluster in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, with a total investment of 53.77 billion yuan ($7.48 billion). Once operational, the T3 terminal will increase the airport's annual passenger handling capacity to 120 million and its cargo and mail throughput to 3.8 million metric tons, making it a global leader in passenger and cargo scale. This will significantly enhance the connectivity of international routes and the hub's operational capabilities.
The project is currently undergoing industry acceptance and is expected to be operational by the end of this year.
