Athletes soared like aerial acrobats on the blue trampolines, executing breathtaking flips and twists that blended athletic power with artistic grace. An electronic scoring system tracked jump height and trajectory in real-time, displaying results on giant screens. "Our team is in peak condition, fully focused on podium contention," said Li Dan, coach of Guangdong's trampoline team.
The recently upgraded Guangzhou Gymnasium, now meeting Olympic standards, will host three National Games events, including trampoline, U18 men's volleyball, and wheelchair basketball for the Paralympics.
More than just helping athletes acclimate, these trials treated spectators to a mesmerizing preview of gravity-defying aerial ballet.
