Guangzhou's Renhe town hosted an investment promotion conference, during which 12 key projects with total investments exceeding 5 billion yuan ($696.5 billion) were signed on Aug 15.

The participating enterprises included the Guangzhou power supply bureau and the Guangzhou New Airport Suihe Group. These enterprises covered emerging industries such as new energy storage, cosmetics, and aviation logistics, injecting new momentum into the regional economy.

Renhe Town, located in Baiyun district, is recognized as an economic powerhouse. Its GDP growth rate of 7.1 percent in 2024 earned it the 182nd spot in the ranking of China's top 500 town economies. The town uses platforms like the Guangzhou Aerotropolis Expo Center and focuses on developing distinctive industries, including the aviation economy and beauty fashion.

The conference highlighted six major industrial carriers, including the Airport Southwest Business District, Zhengxin Zhigu Industrial Park, and Guangzhou Wing · Airport Cultural Tourism Town, as well as premium resources like the 52,000-square-meter aviation business pilot zone.

Moving forward, Renhe town will concentrate on aviation, new energy, and intelligent manufacturing to establish a national-level aviation economic demonstration zone, promoting integrated development of "airport-industry-city-agriculture".
