Huashang College, Baiyun Beauty Bay forge cosmetic innovation pact
Recently, representatives from Guangzhou Huashang College visited the Baiyun Beauty Bay International Cosmetic Research Institute Cluster. During the visit, both parties signed five strategic cooperation agreements to create a collaborative innovation platform that combines industry, academia, and research. The college's Cosmetic Innovation Laboratory will be set up within the cluster.

Baiyun Beauty Bay operates as a government-led research and development service platform covering the entire cosmetic supply chain. In 2024, it hosts about 1,253 manufacturers, generating industrial output and commercial sales surpassing 36 billion yuan ($5.42 billion).
The delegation examined essential facilities, including research labs and efficacy testing centers, to gain a detailed understanding of critical technologies like zebrafish evaluation and micro-testing techniques.
During the discussion, both sides exchanged views on talent development and technological breakthroughs. Huashang College presented a model called "student innovation incubation + enterprise technology transfer" and described its talent cultivation system. Meanwhile, Baiyun Beauty Bay shared information on regional industrial policies and innovation needs.
Moving forward, the collaboration will concentrate on building joint laboratories, establishing internship bases, and developing faculty to promote technological progress and cultivate professionals, ultimately enhancing industry upgrading.
