Strict participation criteria have been set: teams must include at least two core members, with the leader ideally holding a doctoral degree, and projects must have a well-developed business plan and independent intellectual property rights. A dedicated overseas session has also been established to serve as a bridge for international innovators to showcase their ideas and foster collaboration.
The competition offers up to 2.3 million yuan ($320,000) in entrepreneurial project rewards and a maximum of 20 million yuan in industrial investment fund support, providing a solid financial foundation for project implementation and growth.
It also includes talent awards, priority trials for first-of-its-kind technology, and participation in major sci-tech project planning and applications. These measures accelerate the transformation of ideas into products and lab research into market-ready solutions, driving Baiyun district's development of the new energy storage industry.
