The pavilion, located on the 3rd floor of the Design Hall in the Design Capital, which serves as a multifunctional venue, is a key nexus connecting design creativity and urban vitality.
As the first professional venue in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area centered around architectural models, the pavilion is also dubbed an experimental micro city.
Designed under the leadership of Academician He Jingtang from the Chinese Academy of Engineering, with overall planning by Fengyuzhu and exhibition design by the O-office Architects Firm, the museum's collection system upholds the high standards set by the Shanghai Pavilion and boasts a strong academic resource team.
Using models, the Guangzhou Pavilion bridges dialogue between architecture, the city, art, and the public, aiming to become the first professional venue in the Greater Bay Area that combines academic and popular science elements.

The museum also innovatively incorporates Lingnan traditional elements into its models, presenting architectural blueprints in a dissected manner and bringing the micro city indoors to offer visitors a fresh experience.
