Recently, the fashion design, apparel, and deep processing of agricultural products industry clusters in Baiyun district were included in the 2025 Guangdong Province SME Characteristic Industry Cluster List. This raises the district's total to one national-level and four provincial-level relevant clusters.

Both of the chosen clusters surpassed a total output value of 10 billion yuan ($1.39 billion) in 2024. The fashion design and apparel industry cluster relies on key industry platforms to create a comprehensive industry chain, uniting 260 enterprises, 24 professional markets, and 12 creative parks, with an overall output nearing 14 billion yuan in 2024.

The deep processing of agricultural products cluster, which serves as the core area of Guangzhou's food industry, has developed a complete industry chain with 181 enterprises, reaching a total output value of 26 billion yuan in 2024.

In addition, the cosmetics industry cluster in Baiyun district is expanding the "beauty economy", aimed for a total output value of over 13.83 billion yuan in 2024. Meanwhile, the rail transit electromechanical industry cluster is working toward obtaining national recognition by 2025.

Baiyun is progressing with major platform development, enhancing policy backing, and supporting digital transformation for enterprises.

Moving forward, Baiyun will focus on multiple areas to earn more cluster recognitions and invite enterprises to collaborate and advance together into the future.
