New maintenance hub boosts Guangzhou's rail capacity
Starting from July 1, Guangzhou Baiyun Railway Station will introduce 30 pairs of trains that originate and terminate at Guangzhou Railway Station. This station will itself introduce 54 pairs of trains, directly connecting to several popular cities nationwide.
Construction on the Dalang Passenger Rolling Stock Maintenance Facility at Baiyun Station, a crucial part of the schedule adjustment, has been completed and is ready for operation.

Covering an area of 23 hectares and located approximately 7 kilometers from Baiyun Station, the passenger rolling stock maintenance facility adopts an innovative two-tiered structure. The lower level accommodates 44 tracks for train maintenance functions, resembling an "Automobile Sales Service Shop" for trains, while the upper level advances residential construction, effectively coordinating with Baiyun Station.
The development of the Dalang Passenger Rolling Stock Depot site's overlying structure on the above-ground area has been awarded to Guangzhou Greater Bay Area Construction Company, which encompasses various construction requirements.
Once the Dalang Passenger Rolling Stock Maintenance Facility is operational, it will become the first railway passenger rolling stock maintenance facility in the country to have a Transit-Oriented Development project.
This will create conditions for the opening of the Guangzhou-Zhanjiang High-Speed Railway, enhance the operational capacity of Guangzhou's railway hub, and promote transportation connectivity within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
