The official website of the Guangdong Football Association has announced that the 2025 season of the "Guangdong Super League" is scheduled to take place from July to October.

Since 2015, Baiyun district has run its own village-level league, known as the Baiyun District Hundred Villages Football League, which has expanded in scale to include more matches, resulting in increasingly fierce competition.

The district boasts a strong football culture, with almost every village having a team. Communities have also organized their own competitions, such as the "The sound of a flowing stream" Football Tournament in Renhe town and the "Rural Vitalization Cup" in Jianggao town.

Today, the 2025 Baiyun District Hundred Villages Football League has become one of the district's most influential traditional amateur sports events. It is expected to kick off in September, welcoming enthusiasts to experience the passion of football among the people of Baiyun.
