More than 10 mu (0.6 hectares) of colorful corns in Baiyun district's Migang village has entered the harvest season, yielding nearly 1 metric ton per mu.

This year, the farm has experimented with new varieties, including Golden and Silver Corn, Ruby Corn, and White Pearl Corn. The first batch has already sold out, with consumers giving positive feedback.

These colorful sweet corns have thin, paper-like skin and are tender and seedless, offering a sweet and juicy taste when eaten raw, as well as a soft, sweet flavor when steamed or cooked, even better than ordinary corn.

The planting enterprise employs eco-friendly practices throughout the cultivation process, meticulously tending to each plant with techniques such as "one plant, one ear", utilizing irrigation from the Liuxi River, and implementing both physical and biological pest control methods to ensure high-quality corn.

The second harvest is set to begin on June 16 and is expected to be completed by the end of the month. In the second half of the year, the farm plans to expand production, collaborate with villagers through order-based agriculture sales, and develop agritourism projects centered around fruit picking.

From now until the end of June, residents can visit 39 Longzhuang Middle Street in Migang village to experience sweet corn picking and taste different textures on-site.

The village, situated on the Liuxi River, boasts stunning scenery and is an ideal destination for camping and leisure activities. With lychees currently in season, visitors can enjoy picking both these and corn during their visit.
