Progress update on inter-city projects that pass through Baiyun
Two inter-city project lines that pass through Baiyun district have entered the acceptance phase, reaching an overall progress of 99 percent.
The Zhuliao to Airport T2 section of the New Baiyun-Guangzhou Inter-City Line completed acceptance on May 25 and has three stations planned. Designed to travel at a speed of 160 km per hour, it will connect Guangzhou North Railway Station, Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, and other transportation hubs, creating a convenient passenger transport corridor.

Similarly, the Guangzhou-Foshan Ring Line section from Guangzhou South Railway Station to Baiyun Airport, which also completed static acceptance on May 25, will have eight stations along its route. Designed with a travel speed of 160 kilometers per hour, this line will connect with other inter-city lines at multiple stations, serving as a key route in the Pearl River Delta inter-city rail transit network.
The Guangzhou-Qingyuan Intercity Railway section from Baiyun Airport to Guangzhou North Railway Station has also achieved an overall progress of 94 percent. The main construction of bridges, roadbeds, and other key components along the line has been completed, with interior decoration and electromechanical installation underway.
Once completed, connections will be established between the Guangzhou-Foshan Ring Line and Guangzhou North Station, with a travel time of just 14 minutes from Guangzhou North Station to Baiyun Station and 30 minutes from Qingyuan to Guangzhou Baiyun Station.
