Anhuan cabbage, a semi-cold-resistant variety, reaches maturity in just 25-30 days, surpassing the growth timeline of many other vegetables, giving it its name. The cabbage is characterized by its greenish stems and vibrant emerald green leaves, which exhibit a clear and appealing texture. It is rich in fiber and chlorophyll, resulting in a robust flavor profile. Anhuan cabbage offers a delightful combination of sweetness and savory, making it an excellent choice for various culinary preparations, whether blanched or stir-fried with garlic.
Recognized by the China Green Food Development Center as a green food and honored among Baiyun's top agricultural products, Anhuan cabbage undergoes meticulous cultivation.
The process involves soil preparation, organic fertilizer application, and growth in high-temperature greenhouses to ensure a safe planting environment. Smart irrigation systems in intelligent greenhouses deliver water and nutrients without pesticides. After harvesting, tender leaves are transported for pre-cooling and packaging in refrigerated facilities, then distributed to supermarkets through a cold chain.
With a daily yield of around 5,000 catties and an annual output value of up to 60,000 yuan per mu ($8350.44 per 0.07 hectare), Anhuan cabbage is becoming a cherished vegetable on Guangzhou dining tables.
