On May 20, Baiyun district saw a peak in marriage registrations, with 268 couples registering that day. Online reservation slots had been fully booked beforehand, and the number of registrations showed a significant year-on-year increase.

On the same day, the inaugural "Sweet Baiyun" wedding customs and culture event of 2025 opened in Baiyun. Held at the Guangzhou Design Hall, the "Sweet Baiyun" brand was launched, establishing the "Sweet Economy" Industry Alliance and introducing the measures for the high-quality development of the "Sweet Economy", where experts, scholars, and business representatives discussed industry development.

During the event, 56 ethnic wedding costumes made a stunning appearance, and two collective weddings were held: one at the Maofeng Mountain branch venue, blending tradition and modernity amidst picturesque landscapes, and another at the Baiyun Art Square branch venue, where 100 sanitation worker couples renewed their vows.

Additionally, Baiyun promoted five outdoor marriage registration certification points, including Anhua Hui, Maofeng Mountain, Baiyun Lake, Baiyun Mountain Moxing range, and Guangzhou Private Technology Park, each offering unique features to provide romantic choices for the newlyweds.

This event, themed around modern wedding customs and culture, filled Baiyun with sweetness and romance.
