The 2025 Baiyun District Dragon Boat Open Competition is set on May 24 at the Shijing River.

This competition features a variety of race categories, including the traditional dragon men's team, standard dragon men's village team, and standard dragon women's open team for a 500-meter straight race.

This marks the return of a district-level dragon boat race to the Shijing River since 2012. Notably, this event reintroduces the traditional dragon category, which best represents Baiyun's dragon boat culture, filling the gap left by the absence of this category in the district-level competitions from 2023 to 2024.

The race course runs from north to south, stretching 500 meters from the north side of Shijing Bridge to Longteng Square. The dragon boats will pass under the provincial-level cultural relic, Shijing Bridge, promising a spectacular scene reminiscent of twin dragons emerging from a cave.
