Baiyun draws nearly 830,000 tourists during May Day holiday
During the May Day holiday, the Baiyun district cultural and tourism market made remarkable achievements, with major scenic spots receiving nearly 830,000 visitors.
Among the fee-charging scenic spots throughout the district, 60 percent saw an increase in visitors. Total ticket revenue is estimated at around 15 million yuan ($2.08 million), with total cultural and tourism consumption reaching approximately 840 million yuan.

The Baiyun Mountain scenic area attracted over 500,000 visitors with activities like the "Nezha Carnival", an almost 87-percent year-on-year increase. From May 2 to 3, the daily visitor count exceeded 100,000, with a peak surpassing 160,000, firmly securing its position as the district's most popular tourist destination.
Guangzhou Children's Park organized a trendy lifestyle festival, attracting over 180,000 visitors with activities such as pet interactions and Cantonese cultural experiences.
Baiyun Lake scenic area, leveraging water activities and a family amusement park, received over 70,000 visitors, maintaining steady growth.
Additionally, experiences such as the Maofeng Mountain Traditional Southern Lion Dance Competition, the Shennong Grass Hut Traditional Chinese Medicine and Calligraphy Exhibition, and the Guangzhou Urban Planning Exhibition Center's photo-taking activities offered visitors more choices, driving the stable development of Baiyun district's cultural and tourism market.
