Guangzhou Metro Line 12 to open within year
Guangzhou Metro Line 12 is set to open within the year.
The Lingnan urban characteristics and features, integrated with electromechanical decoration design, inspire the stations along Line 12. The stations achieve a clean and atmospheric visual effect through standardized and modular integration of wall elements with pipelines centrally arranged in the middle and on both sides.

The standard station's ceiling pipeline design is made invisible, enhancing spatial transparency and reducing maintenance burdens in the future, creating an underground "breathing corridor" that combines functionality and aesthetics.
As a model of cultural integration, the Ersha Island Station is located within the Guangzhou Development Park, adjacent to cultural venues such as the Xinghai Concert Hall and the Guangdong Museum of Art.
Its design abstracts white pipelines into a rhythmic staff notation, complemented by artistic wall surfaces and circular acoustic reflectors, replicating the acoustic effects of the concert hall. Interweaving lighting with irregularly shaped wall surfaces within the station creates an immersive musical space, transforming commuting into an experience of traveling through an art gallery.
In addition to the Ersha Island Station, unique station designs like the Guangzhou Station have been introduced. Line 12, through its "one station, one scene" strategy, injects the city's cultural genes into underground spaces, promoting the metro's transition from a transportation hub to a carrier of urban culture.
