Baiyun enhances service guarantee efforts for National Games
In preparation for the upcoming events including the 15th National Games, the 12th National Disabled Games, and the 9th Special Olympics Games at the Baiyun Sports Center in Guangzhou, Baiyun district has initiated service guarantee efforts.
The district focuses on key areas such as transportation hubs, venues, and hotels, advancing environmental hygiene, urban quality enhancement, and landscaping.
Baiyun has integrated 13 landscaping projects into its quality improvement program, of which five projects have been completed, including the Baiyun Art Square. Currently, eight projects are in the construction phase. Additionally, Baiyun is undertaking enhancements to the maintenance of greenery along key event routes and has completed maintenance work on 466,000 square meters of green space in the core areas.

Regarding sanitation facilities, Baiyun has upgraded 130 sanitation facilities, with seven garbage collection and transfer stations already completed. As per schedule, upgrades to 130 sanitation facilities, including five garbage compression stations and 33 public toilets, will be completed by June of this year.
Furthermore, focusing on the areas surrounding transportation hubs, venues, and hotels involved in the events, the Baiyun district urban management bureau has deployed inspection personnel 110 times, identifying and addressing 1,095 environmental hygiene issues, achieving a completion rate of 96.4 percent. In terms of urban order, they have rectified 121 outdoor advertisements and sign facilities, identified and rectified 115 urban order issues at event locations, effectively enhancing the city's image.
