Baiyun plans to add 6,500 public school places
In 2024, Baiyun district added 11,000 high-quality school places in primary and secondary schools and kindergartens to meet the ever-growing demand for education.
In terms of educational resource distribution, five schools and 10 kindergartens in Baiyun were opened as scheduled, and multiple kindergartens were upgraded and renovated. Baiyun has also established partnerships with several prestigious universities, such as the establishment of the first public school in Guangzhou by Central China Normal University, further enhancing the regional education level.

In terms of educational and teaching reforms, Baiyun has made significant strides. The district's average score in the high school entrance examination led the city, while the number of students admitted to undergraduate programs and those meeting special admission criteria for the college entrance examination has doubled. Additionally, Baiyun has enhanced its integrated curriculum design across preschool, compulsory education, and general high schools, establishing a comprehensive training system that supports student development at every stage.
To improve the quality of education, Baiyun has intensified the recruitment of new teachers, optimized the structure of the teaching staff, introduced AI-powered digital classrooms and smart education platforms with non-perceptional authentication, and promoted the digital transformation of education.
Looking ahead to 2025, Baiyun plans to add 6,500 high-quality public school places, deepen comprehensive reforms in education, and provide educational support for economic and social development.
