Vibrant Lantern Festival celebrations held in Baiyun
On Feb 12, a variety of celebratory activities in Baiyun district brought the joy of early spring to a climax, marking a perfect end to Chinese New Year.
At the Shima Taohua Park, a poetry event themed on peach blossoms was held, with professional reciters and local students reciting classic poems related to peach blossoms from ancient to modern times, bringing renewed vigor to the blooming peach orchard.
In Jiangcun village, Jianggao town, a lively dragon and lion dance event unfolded in front of the Jiang Family Ancestral Hall square, with over 40 lions and eight golden dragons dancing around.
In Huangbian village, Helong sub-district, lion dance teams welcomed guests with drums and gongs. Lion dance teams from various neighboring villages came to celebrate the Lantern Festival, moving and dancing amidst the beating rhythm.

Wuxi village in Zhongluotan town also organized a village-wide lion dance parade to bless villagers, followed by a banquet with 260 seats inviting villagers above 60 years old to dine together.

Zhu'er village hosted banquets for three days in a row with nearly 500 seats and invited the Feng family lion dance team and over 400 married-out daughters to return home, organizing lively lion dance performances for villagers.
Furthermore, Sanyuanli village and the Tangxi Rural Cooperative Association will respectively hold Lantern Festival celebrations on Feb 15 and 16.
