Lion dance celebrations bring festive atmosphere to Baiyun
On Jan 29, Baiyun district was swept up in a wave of lion dance performances to celebrate Chinese New Year. More than 100 lion dance troupes from various villages and communities filled the air with a joyous atmosphere.
The scene of 60 lion dancers in Renhe town was particularly spectacular. Accompanied by the sounds of drums and gongs, the young female lion dance team delivered lively performances, kicking off the festive celebrations.

Twenty lion dance troupes took turns performing, elevating the holiday spirit to its peak. The mix of traditional and modern lion dances attracted much attention. After each performance, the lions paraded around the area as villagers touched their heads, praying for a peaceful and prosperous new year.

The festivities in other towns and villages of Baiyun district, such as Jianggao town, Zhongluotan town, Shimen Street, and Jiahe Street, were equally lively. Villages welcomed the new year with lion dances, accompanied by the continuous beats of drums and gongs, captivating onlookers.
The lion dancers celebrated the arrival of Chinese New Year in a traditional manner, showcasing their impressive skills and eliciting cheers from the audience, resulting in an unforgettable New Year celebration.
