Thousand Lantern Show to be held in Baiyun
The Maofeng Bay Thousand Lantern Show will be held on Jan 25 at Maofeng Mountain in Baiyun district, Guangzhou.
It combines Lingnan folk culture, lanterns, and market forms to bring residents and tourists a feast of spring aesthetics. The show features 19 uniquely designed and meaningful large-scale lantern scenes, including the 16-meter high, 8-meter extended giant lantern group "Shangyuan Lanterns" and the large lantern group "Minghua Qingguo" with flower elements.

The event is anticipated to host over 60 exciting performances for three consecutive days. Programs such as dragon and lion dances, Cantonese opera excerpts, Hung Kuen performances, Tang-style performances, song choruses, Hakka mountain duets, rural band performances, and magic shows will take turns on stage.
The event is set to gather over 50 vendors offering authentic local delicacies such as Taihe roasted chicken, hanging roasted ribs, and peach blossom red tea. Interactive activities like on-site dumpling making will also be available, providing a festive and interactive atmosphere.
