From Jan 11 to Jan 19, Baiyun district will host a series of events for the 2025 Peach Blossom Literati Gathering.

The events initiated by writer Chen Canyun from Shima village have been passed down since 1983, becoming a cultural symbol of Baiyun.

This year's Peach Blossom Literati Gathering activities will be diverse and colorful, such as calligraphy and painting creation, creative exhibitions, intangible cultural heritage experiences, and cultural and creative experiences, showcasing the elegance of classical Chinese culture.

Dozens of famous Lingnan artists will create traditional Chinese paintings and calligraphy works on-site, while young enthusiasts will create folded fans and write blessings and Spring Festival couplets.

Moreover, a traditional Chinese trend market with over 30 booths showcasing intangible cultural heritage items, national trend cultural and creative products, specialty crafts, and peach blossom-themed products will be held for the first time, allowing people to welcome the Chinese New Year in a peach blossom-filled atmosphere.

Daily traditional Chinese performances will blend traditional and modern elements to create a highly infectious Spring Festival atmosphere.

The series of events will combine Cantonese folk customs to create themed scenes, featuring areas such as peach blossom-themed wishing cabins, children's cabins, and cultural and creative cabins to enhance interactive experiences.
