This year, Shima peach blossoms have stood out among many varieties due to their abundant stamens, vibrant colors, long blooming period, and suitability for container cultivation.

They are acclaimed as the "king of peach blossoms", spreading their reputation far overseas.

The planting area of Shima peach blossoms is approximately 1,000 mu (66.67 hectares), with around 200,000 trees planted in Junhe Street, Baiyun district, Guangzhou. This area's fertile and soft soil makes it one of the largest peach blossom planting bases in Guangzhou.

The varieties of peach blossoms planted by the Shima Cooperative include conventional peach blossoms, dwarf peach blossoms, and potted peaches. This year, some farmers have also attempted to cultivate new varieties, such as tall potted peaches and multi-branched-shaped potted peaches.

This year's blooming period of peach blossoms is expected to be longer than previous years. Nearly 80,000 peach trees have already been ordered, with prices increasing by 5 to 10 percent compared to last year.

There are various techniques for selecting peach blossoms, including conventional and dwarf peach blossoms with straight trunks and full flower buds, as well as uniquely shaped potted peaches.

The Shima peach blossom industry has developed into a sector that drives local peach blossom planters to form professional cooperatives, providing planting training and fertilizer distribution, helping to establish distinctive brands in the floral industry of Baiyun.
