Recently, the construction progress of Guangzhou Metro Line 12 has reached 91 percent.

The rail section from Xunfenggang to Yunxi Park and the Chatou Depot have completed the hot slip test, entering the operational testing phase.

With a total length of 37.6 kilometers, Metro Line 12 is an important part of Guangzhou's urban rail transit network, connecting Baiyun, Yuexiu, Haizhu, Huangpu, and Panyu districts, contributing to easing the traffic pressure in the central area.

Since its laying in August 2023, the construction of this line has faced various challenges, including five types of ballast beds, significant construction difficulties, and complex organizational coordination.

To ensure quality, the construction units have established multiple track laying bases and opened several work areas, with over 500 personnel and more than 50 pieces of equipment involved in the construction operations.

During the track laying process, the metro builders have devised optimal solutions, strictly adhering to standardized operational procedures to ensure the line's smoothness.

In the hot slip test, the train achieved the standard of a coin standing upright without falling during straight sections, approaching the smoothness standard of high-speed rail, laying a foundation for safe and comfortable metro operation.
