The long-awaited Guangfo Bridge is set to open, promising to alleviate traffic congestion on the Jinshazhou Bridge. The first phase of the project, which began on March 31, 2021, is now complete and ready to open.

Connecting Foshan's Nanhai district and Guangzhou's Datansha Island, the Guangfo Bridge, a major infrastructure project, spans approximately 1.3 kilometers and features a main bridge with six lanes and four ramp bridges. The bridge's design, resembling two hands clasped together, symbolizes the unity and cooperation between Guangzhou and Foshan. The main tower, standing at 100.5 meters tall, was built using a steel-concrete composite structure, ensuring stability and durability.
