Yunluo Botanical Garden opens in Guangzhou

The highly anticipated Yunluo Botanical Garden, located on Baiyun Mountain, opened to the public on Nov 29. This new addition to Guangzhou's urban landscape aims to promote biodiversity conservation and sustainable development.

The Yunluo Botanical Garden spans a vast area and features over 1,500 species of plants, including 36 national first-class protected plants and 58 national second-class protected plants. The garden is divided into eight specialized sections, each showcasing unique plant species such as orchids, medicinal plants, and rare tropical flora.

Visitors can explore the garden's distinctive layout, which includes the "Eight Gardens and Three Waters" design. Highlights include the elevated Kapok Path, offering panoramic views of the city, and the Rainforest Valley, a lush, immersive experience of tropical biodiversity. The garden also features the Baiyun Pavilion, the highest point in the garden, which provides a stunning view of Guangzhou's skyline.

To celebrate its opening, the garden is offering discounted tickets at 20 yuan ($2.76) per person until Dec 31. Group discounts and promotions for digital currency users are also available. Visitors with birthdays between Nov 29 and Dec 1 can enjoy free entry by presenting their ID cards.
