Guangzhou Baiyun Railway Station, which has attracted much attention, is now entering the final countdown phase towards its estimated completion date of Dec 26.

Currently, the overall decoration of the station building has been largely completed, and the finishing touches and cleaning work are underway.

From the exterior, the entire metal roof of the building has been completed, showcasing a magnificent design inspired by the shape of kapok flowers.

Once completed and opened, Baiyun station will introduce several railway lines including the Beijing-Guangzhou Railway, Beijing-Guangzhou High-Speed Railway, and Guangzhou-Zhanjiang High-Speed Railway.

The station will primarily serve conventional trains, with high-speed and intercity trains as secondary options.

In addition, there are plans to establish two short-term and four long-term subway lines, making it one of the largest transit-oriented development (TOD) integrated transportation hubs in China and Asia.
