To celebrate the upcoming Dragon Boat Festival, the 2023 Guangzhou International Dragon Boat Invitational Tournament kicked off on June 17 on the Pearl River.

Dragon boat racing is a popular folk activity that has been passed down for generations with wide participation and high enthusiasm from the public. It is also an intangible cultural heritage item in Guangzhou.

Baiyun sent off a total of 15 teams, with over 500 athletes to compete in this tournament. Among them, six teams made it to the finals, and two won first prizes in the colored dragon competition.

The colored dragon competition involved participants decorating their boats, which resulted in a captivating and vibrant race.
