Updated : April 3, 2023

Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport has facilitated 105,200 takeoffs and landings within the first quarter of 2023, a year-on-year increase of 22.48 percent, while its passenger throughput totaled 13.7 million, ranking first among China's airports with a year-on-year increase of 61.77 percent.

The airport is one of the three biggest international aviation hubs in China. Its routes cover more than 230 destinations around the world, including over 90 overseas destinations. These flight routes reach more than 40 countries and regions on five continents.

With the recovery of China's tourism industry, the airport has cooperated with other airline companies, not only to increase the number of popular flights routes, but to also open up new routes, and promote the restoration of international routes to meet the varied travel needs of passengers.

In the second quarter, the airport will usher in several travel nodes such as the Dragon Boat Festival and May Day holiday. It is also expected to set a new peak in passenger flow during the upcoming May Day holiday because major airline companies plan to launch discounted tickets for multiple routes passing through Guangzhou.
