The transport infrastructure for Baiyun Lake Digital Technology City has made significant progress in its construction, local media outlets reported on Sept 16.

With a total investment of 2.6 billion yuan ($40 million) and an area of about 4,662 mu (311 hectares), the construction project is located on the west side of Baiyun Lake's core area, including the west Huangjinwei area of Baiyun Lake Digital Technology City.

In addition, the project's magnitude extends to Hengling South Road in the east, Yagang South Avenue in the south, Pearl River West Channel in the west, and Liuxi River in the north.

Currently, 13 roads have been completed and will be open to traffic soon. Auxiliary projects like landscape and street lighting have been completed, while additional construction, such as road markings and traffic signals, is currently underway.

The roads have formed a "five vertical & five horizontal" pattern. This unique design will equalize the pressure on the road network and shunt heavy traffic on arterial roads through branch roads throughout Baiyun Lake Digital Technology City.

This will also provide traffic organization in the surrounding villages, thus stimulating the developmental growth of the Huangjinwei area.
