Jinsha Street meta creation center in Guangzhou's Baiyun district signed contracts with seven key enterprises, including Alibaba Cloud and Xiaomi ToB, in an investment promotion conference on Sept 17.

With a total investment of about 1.5 billion yuan ($20 million), the meta creation center is expected to cover an area of about 57,100 square meters and a floorage of approximately 325,500 sqm. The construction of the center's basement is currently underway.

Located in Baiyun's western digital economy innovation corridor, it enjoys significant traffic advantage since it is near the Jinshazhou Bridge, Guangzhou-Foshan Bridge and Metro Line 6.

The center aims to develop into an ecological metaverse industry park, promoting the digital economy, new-generation information, and technology industries such as artificial intelligence, the internet of things, and autonomous vehicles.

Bao Liang, general manager of one of the contractors on site, noted that Baiyun had gathered leading corporations, including Alibaba and Xiaomi, while constantly improving its upstream and downstream metaverse industries. This makes him very optimistic about its development prospects.
