Guangzhou Metro recently reported that the construction of 10 metro lines passing through Baiyun district, especially Guangzhou Metro Line 11, had made a stride of breakthroughs, local media outlets reported on Sept 16.

The left tunnel of Metro Line 11 Fangcun-Shiweitang section has been completed, and the left tunnel from Nanshi Road to the Yangang area has started construction.

In addition, civil construction has been carried out on the Chisha depot and its entry and exit sections.

Up to now, it has completed 84 percent of the civil works. Among the 32 stations to be built, two are in use, 14 have been topped off, and 15 are in the progress of civil works, while one is preparing for construction.

Among the 32 sections, one has opened, 18 have been completed, 12 are undergoing civil construction, three have begun renovation and electrical installation, and one is scheduled for construction.
