Maofeng oranges are mainly grown in Suifeng town near Maofeng Mountain in Baiyun district of Guangzhou; thus their name.

The oranges are planted with organic fertilizers and have bright color, smooth skin, juicy pulp, sweet flavor and the unique fragrance of osmanthus.

Local people have developed innovative dishes with Maofeng oranges as the main ingredients, including steamed eggs with orange juice, braised goose with oranges and sweet orange wine.
