The 137th China Import and Export Fair (the Canton Fair) is scheduled on April 15 in Guangzhou. To facilitate global travelers during their visit to the city, a new handbook, titled "An Expat's Guide to Living and Working in Guangzhou" (《外国商务人士在穗工作生活指引》), was released by the Foreign Affairs Office of Guangzhou Municipality.
The handbook is presented in both physical copy and digital format.
What information does it offer?
The handbook provides global travelers in Guangzhou with practical information on handling visas at ports, residence permits, mobile payment, transportation, medical treatment, cultural consumption, and multilingual services.
The handbook consists of four parts, through which you are allowed to say "hello, Guangzhou", then you could "live in Guangzhou" and "have fun in Guangzhou"; ultimately, you would "fall in love with Guangzhou".
The "hello, Guangzhou" section gives you an overview of Guangzhou. The "living in Guangzhou" section guides you on how to live conveniently in the city, including information on daily life. The "having fun in Guangzhou" section leads readers to the best experiences in Guangzhou, featuring its top attractions, shopping havens, and culinary delights. Additionally, the "falling in love with Guangzhou" section provides you with all the information you need, including websites and emergency hotline numbers.
Where to get a copy?
If foreign visitors would like to obtain a physical copy of the handbook, you can pick it up at ports of entry and exit, immigration office halls, foreigner management service workstations, and international neighborhoods.
For the digital copy, you can scan the QR code on the bottom page of the handbook, or click on the link here.
