On March 29, the final 24.6-meter-long, 527-ton box girder was successfully installed on the Songlong River Bridge, the longest bridge on the Guangzhou-Zhanjiang High-Speed Railway's airport section. This marks a major step forward in the railway's construction.

The Songlong River Bridge spans 8.9 kilometers, featuring 221 box girders, and is the largest and longest bridge along the rail line. The project faced complex challenges, including crossing densely populated areas and intersecting multiple roads and rail lines.

The Guangzhou-Zhanjiang High-Speed Railway, designed for speeds of up to 350 km/h, will connect Guangzhou with Zhanjiang in just 90 minutes, significantly cutting travel time between the two cities. The line will enhance connectivity and boost economic development across the region once completed.
