From March 14 to 18, a six-member documentary crew from Latvia embarked on a cultural and technological journey in Guangzhou, capturing the city's traditional culture and modern technologies for European audiences.
Between March 15th and 17th, they immersed themselves in the artistry of Cantonese opera at the Cantonese Opera Art Museum, explored the passenger-carrying electric vertical takeoff and landing ("eVTOL") aircraft at EHang Intelligent Technology, and had their very first experiences with TCM massage and acupuncture at Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine.
The crew marveled at Guangzhou's seamless integration of heritage and modernity—where centuries-old traditions coexist with modern technologies.
"We are making this documentary to show people the experiences we have here, to inspire and encourage them to travel," said Aiga Baikova, manager of the crew who brought the team along on her second visit to Guangzhou. "People need to come here to understand and feel the hospitality of China," she said.
