On March 25, a delegation of multinational corporations and Fortune 500 companies was invited to tour Guangzhou's Nansha district to explore more business opportunities. Nearly 100 representatives from companies such as Siemens, Shell, and IBM, as well as from the U.S. Consulate General in Guangzhou and JETRO, participated.

Nansha district, as a national-level new district, a part of the Guangdong Free Trade Zone, and a major cooperation platform for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA), enjoys preferential policies such as the relaxation of market access with 15 measures.

In 2024, the district saw significant growth in innovation, with nearly 1,300 high-tech enterprises and four companies listed on the global unicorn list. APT Electronics Co., Ltd. and Pony.ai, two notable companies based in Nansha, initiated their IPOs, and CAS Space, provided its commercial space launch service to international users for the first time.

Representatives of the delegation expressed their confidence in Nansha's economic construction, business environment, and investment opportunities.

"Every time I visit here, I see how much it continues to grow and develop", said Aaron Finley, a member of the Board of Governors of AmCham South China. As a businessman who has been doing business in Guangzhou for 20 years, he finds it really exciting to keep coming back to Nansha, which he visits at least once a year. He noted that Nansha is able to develop rapidly through open cross-border transportation for export and import, allowing companies to take advantage of the regulations and open policies to develop a lot of business in transportation, e-commerce, life sciences, healthcare, and more.

"Today I see a lot of development in the new energy sector when we visit the GAC museum here. It's very exciting to see the continuing growth and development for Nansha", noted Aaron Finley.
