On March 16, the first batch of imported exhibits for the 137th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) was shipped to Nansha New Port in Guangzhou and entered under the supervision of Guangzhou Customs. This batch, consisting of 207 items weighing approximately 40,151 kilograms, mainly includes home appliances such as ovens, gas stoves, and range hoods from Türkiye.

All exhibits temporarily imported during this session of the Canton Fair, as confirmed by the fair's organizer, are eligible for preferential treatment from customs, including fast supervision by customs officers and exemption from submitting tax guarantees.

Before the arrival of the exhibits, Customs arranged for business experts to provide advance coordination and offer full guidance and consultation services throughout the clearance process. The exhibits' declaration procedures were handled by the exhibition customs office in charge of the Canton Fair, while the port customs at Nansha New Port facilitated rapid inspection and clearance. This allowed the goods to proceed directly to the exhibition setup phase and helped exhibitors save on storage and transportation costs while allowing more time for booth setup.

Customs is accelerating the development of "Smart Customs" and optimizing the "Smart Exhibition" information system. This system integrates data from the entire exhibition and exhibit supervision process, providing functions such as exhibition filing and one-click exhibit declaration. It also proactively pushes business information reminders to companies, supporting the online application of the entire exhibit-related process.

Following the successful customs clearance of the first batch of exhibits for the 137th Canton Fair, more exhibits from around the world are expected to arrive in Guangzhou soon. To ensure the smooth hosting of the 137th Canton Fair, Guangzhou Customs maintains up-to-date information on the latest developments regarding imported exhibits and provides one-to-one business guidance, formulating targeted supervision plans for exhibits.

Green channels for customs clearance have been set up at major ports, including Guangzhou Baiyun Airport, Nansha New Port, and Jiaoxin Wharf, giving priority to customs procedures such as declaration, inspection, sampling, and testing, with exhibits cleared immediately upon arrival.

Known as China's No. 1 Exhibition, the Canton Fair is the country's longest-running, largest, most comprehensive, and most reputable international trade fair, widely regarded as a barometer of China's foreign trade.

The 137th Canton Fair, which lasts 21 days, will be held in three phases from April 15 to May 5 in Guangzhou. The total exhibition area will cover 1.55 million square meters, with 55 exhibition sections. The import exhibition area will cover approximately 30,000 square meters, with enterprises from 50 countries and regions expected to participate. Exhibits will include home appliances, hardware and machinery, home textiles, and more.
