GD Today | Updated:2025-03-17

The 2025 Third Nansha Cherry Blossom Festival will be held from March 17 to March 30 at Shiba Luohan Mountain Park (十八罗汉山公园) in Dagang Town, Nansha District, Guangzhou.

This year, the cherry blossom viewing areas at the festival have been expanded to two: Yunying Valley (云樱谷) and the newly expanded Liying Garden (俪樱园), which has been planted with over 1,000 additional cherry blossom trees. The total viewing area has increased to 40 mu (about 6.6 acres), with more than 2,000 cherry trees scattered throughout.

All cherry trees in the festival are Guangzhou cherry, a variety that blooms in mid-March each year. The peak bloom is forecasted for March 22 to 23 this year, transforming the mountain into a breathtaking sea of pink blossoms. Admission to the park will be free for all visitors.

During the festival, a variety of cultural and entertainment events will take place, including cherry blossom garden parties, art performances, a village gala, and a collective wedding ceremony. The park will also feature cherry blossom viewing platforms, a cherry blossom café, and a cultural and creative market. Special festival-themed products such as "cherry blossom ice cream," "cherry blossom coffee," umbrellas, T-shirts, and jeans will be available.

The festival route takes visitors through Dinosaur Valley, Wuyou Stream, and Danxin Lake before splitting into two paths in front of the Shiba Luohan Tower. One path leads to the main cherry blossom stage area, where visitors can explore the Peach Blossom Garden, a children's play area, a wedding lawn, and Yunying Valley, ride the cherry blossom train, and enjoy delicious treats at the food market. The other path takes visitors to the newly opened Liying Garden, offering another enchanting cherry blossom experience.

Apart from the cherry blossoms, the mountain is adorned with peach blossoms, purple trumpet trees, and bougainvilleas, creating a splendid floral paradise to welcome visitors from all directions.
