Committed to the Chinese market and aiming to empower lifelong eye care management solutions, ZEISS Vision, part of ZEISS Group — a global pioneer in the optics and optoelectronics fields — showcased its innovative achievements in the field of optometry during the 23rd China (Shanghai) International Optics Fair held last week, injecting vitality into the fair and propelling the industry to new heights.
With the theme New Vision, New Heights, ZEISS Vision unveiled a set of new technologies, products and solutions during the fair. They include the ZEISS Dura-Vision Gold, ZEISS MyoEase Lenses and ZEISS Progressive Light 2 Lenses.
ZEISS DuraVision Gold sets a new standard in lens coatings by combining exceptional anti-reflective properties with advanced scratch resistance. As for the visual health concerns of teenagers, ZEISS MyoEase Lenses provide a new approach to managing myopia, with its integrated design defocus lenses balancing control and comfort; and the ZEISS Progressive Light 2 Lenses are suitable for first-time progressive wearers.
Its product portfolio was also on display, showcasing goods developed to meet consumer demands across different daily life scenarios and unlocking fashionable experiences. For example, Burgundy is used to align with consumers' pursuits in fashion; ZEISS Plano Sun Lenses and ski goggles offer outdoor enthusiasts a series of trendy visual products; and the comfortable warm eye masks and lens wipes for daily eye care needs.
In the optometry store scenario at the fair, visitors experienced precise fittings, high-quality frames and lens selection, and thoughtful after-sales service.
Sven Hermann, a member of the executive board of ZEISS Group, president and CEO of Consumer Markets, indicated: "Through ongoing innovation, we aim to deliver customized optical solutions and enhancing visual experiences." ZEISS Vision uses innovation and service optimization as engines. By grasping consumer needs, it is expanding new horizons and creating high-quality visual experiences.
"China is one of our top priority markets. We are highly attentive to the market demands in China and will continue to increase our investment in this country," he said.
ZEISS Vision has invested in six legal entities in Guangzhou and has established a comprehensive and sustainable eye health industry ecosystem encompassing product design, research and development, innovation, manufacturing, precise and personalized customization and sales there.
"We expect that China will become our largest market and the biggest contributor for ZEISS Vision Care," he added.
Leveraging sector's forces
Adhering to the brand's DNA in precision, innovation and social responsibility, ZEISS Vision has kept collaborating with industry partners to explore innovative paths, driving the optometry industry toward higher standards.
Focusing on myopia prevention and control in teenagers, and visual health in middle-aged and elderly individuals, ZEISS Vision showcased its innovative practices in the field of eye health management at the fair.
With the support of a cooperation network, ZEISS Vision invited industry experts to share the latest advancements in myopia management and clinical research results at the booth, promoting consensus among experts on presbyopia.
From ZEISS MyoCare Lenses using C.A.R.E technology to the upcoming ZEISS MyoEase Lenses, ZEISS Vision is committed to safeguarding the visual health of young children through collaborative innovation.
To promote the standardized development of the industry, ZEISS Vision, together with the China National Inspection and Testing Center for Ophthalmic Optics Glass and Enamel Products, and multiple ophthalmic medical institutions, initiated the group standard for the Specifications for Refraction and Assembling of Myopia Management Spectacles.
Additionally, the ninth "I Want to Go to Germany" ZEISS Optometrists Competition was launched, highlighting ZEISS Vision's emphasis on the cultivation of talents. During the exhibition, several signing ceremonies were held, marking a new stage of its collaborative innovations.
