The 13th Guangzhou Friendship Games launches from Oct 26 to 27 at Tianhe Sports Center.

Over 1,000 people, including diplomats and their families from 11 consulates general in Guangzhou and teams from 10 universities in the city, are expected to participate in the 13th Guangzhou Friendship Games from Oct 26 to 27. 

Established in 1998, the event provides a platform for fostering exchange, deepening friendships, and showcasing talents among local and international residents in Guangzhou. It highlights the harmonious and inclusive environment of the southern metropolis of Guangzhou, the capital of China's economic powerhouse, Guangdong province.

The 13th Guangzhou Friendship Games are organized by the foreign affairs office of the People's Government of Guangzhou Municipality at the Guangzhou Tianhe Sports Center.

This year's games, themed "Dynamic Guangzhou Connected with Borderless Sports, United Passions for the 15th National Games", are set to feature sporting events including basketball, football, tennis, badminton, table tennis, and bowling.
